Makeup is a powerful medium. It’s beautiful, fun, unsuspecting and empowering. It can create thousands of different looks on one face. It can make a subtle change or transform you into another being. From the time I was in pigtails, I’ve always known this to be true. I would shade in the faces in my Barbie coloring books making them come alive. For hours I would flip through fashion magazines and study the iconic beauties that ruled the pages concentrating on how the shading of their eye shadow was done, the contouring of their blush and the precise combing of their lashes; I confess I’m a bit obsessed with perfect lashes! These painted faces were mesmerizing.
I started working behind the makeup counters at the department stores as a makeup artist and manager of other talented artists. I quickly moved to freelancing for various lines doing their special events working alongside the National Artists for these lines. I loved having the opportunity to work on so many different faces of all ages and races. Eventually I began using airbrush makeup, which allows me to match any skin tone and make a flawless canvas. Of course, makeup is only as good as the skin it rests on so I became a certified Aesthetician and to complete my obsession with lashes, I became a certified Lash Extensionist. My brides are my true heart and soul. To be a part of the most important day in a woman’s life is an honor that I cherish.
I’ve worked as a professional artist for over 16 years and have a lifetime of passion and devotion to my clients. Passionate, driven, creative, timeless, positive, dedicated, evolving and kind; these are the words that best describe me. I believe in empowering women through the art of makeup. I believe in owning and enhancing one’s own unique beauty. I tie all this to my personal philosophy that beauty fits everyone.
